Following 2024’s ‘Asylum Harbour’ – which featured a pair of very strong singles, ‘Mirror’ and ‘Gimme Some Pain’ – LA’s Tombstones In Their Eyes sound equally enthused on their sixth full length release ‘Under Dark Skies’. The record’s ten tracks take in some mighty riffs, mixing the huge sounds of shoegaze with the haziness of old school psych, adding a pinch of blues and a sprinkling of goth along the way, to create something that’s often very rewarding.

Listen: Oreyeon share new single ‘I’m Your Mistake’
It’s not been long since Oreyeon released their ‘Echoes of Old Nightmares’ single, which re-introduced the Italian doom band to many in classic style. Across that track’s four and a half minutes, the musicians cranked their way through a selection of fuzzy riffs that sometimes sounded like Clutch in a really bad mood, often bringing a melodic charm to their weighty sound. It would be more than fair to suggest the track would appeal to those who love all manner of stoner rock as well as classic doom.

Welcome back to the Real Gone Singles Bar, the place where we explore some of the more interesting individual tracks that have landed in our inbox over the past few weeks. This time around, we bring you a genuinely sharp sounding piece of post hardcore from Brighton, a well arranged slab of stoner metal, the overdue return of a goth influenced act, a trio of very different singer songwriters…and more. As always, we hope you find something new to enjoy.

THE REAL GONE SINGLES BAR: A NEW YEAR’S EVE LOCK IN 2025
We’ve reached the end of another year, and the Real Gone Singles Bar has gone from strength to strength. As is always the case, we’ve received far more submissions over the past six months than we could possibly hope to cover, and ended up with a lot of great tracks that just didn’t find a home in the original weekly columns. Some things are too good to pass by, though, so as is traditional, we’ve rounded up twenty of the best tracks that didn’t get covered upon release and created the Singles Bar New Year’s Eve Lock In! We’ve got a great new wave inspired track, a couple of absolute bangers from the metal world, a little Americana, some jazzy yacht rock, funk, power pop and goth. With the help of a couple of singer-songwriters along the way, we hope there’s something in this selection for almost everyone as we count down to midnight…

ALREADY DEAD – I Think It’s Time To Leave… EP
The first new music from the Boston punks Already Dead in almost a year, the band’s 2025 EP ‘I Think It’s Time To Leave…’ is in danger of being over as soon as it’s begun. Packing five high octane numbers into a little over ten minutes, the release barely gives the listener time to catch their breath, let alone provide an ideal opportunity to take stock of what they’re hearing. In terms of blending the classic Ramonescore sound with some old school, sometimes very British sounding punky thrills, the material really hits the mark, though, regardless of the release’s obvious brevity.
