There’s a singer songwriter sharing a deep folk melody, the return of some British ska legends, and even a tune from a legendary Britpop act that’s a little different to many of their biggest hits. As we head even further into a new year, submissions for the ever popular Real Gone Singles Bar continue to be very interesting. This time around. We’ve got a perfect homage to those 90s classics from the 4AD label, the return of a great retro goth band, some British skacore, and even a lo-fi oddity that proves surprisingly effective. With a couple of rocky tracks along the way and some well played Americana, we hope most people will find something new to enjoy.

As 2024 began to draw to a close, Buster Shuffle had already started to look towards the year ahead. The London-based ska band’s then current single ‘Shows How Little You Know’ provided a very effective peak into their proposed new long player, supplying the kind of energy driven number their fans had not only come to expect, but also a powerful workout that seemed perfect for attracting new listeners.
Kill Lincoln aren’t necessarily the first name you think of when it comes to US ska punk and skacore sounds, but the band are among the scene’s hardest working and musically intense.
