Kill Lincoln aren’t necessarily the first name you think of when it comes to US ska punk and skacore sounds, but the band are among the scene’s hardest working and musically intense.
Promoting their upcoming album ‘No Normal’, ‘Little Ghosts’ is a typically ferocious number that’s almost guaranteed to attract attention of skacore with its combination of crashy rhythms and enthused vocals that occasionally sound reminiscent of an aggressive Less Than Jake, but there’s far more going on here than the usual speed driven chaos. There are moments where metallic guitars nod to old school thrash, including a middle section that sounds like an old Anthrax breakdown augmented by horns; occasional moments where the band threatens with a skate punk sound, and even the sheer force of old Against All Authority tracks bleeding through.
Naturally, there is a huge melody and a couple of massive hooks here too, with Kill Lincoln never forgetting their ska loving audience. There are a few skank-worthy bars where chopping rhythms inject a different style of speed, and the huge brassy sounds punching through the heavier edge are comparable to a whole wealth of great third wave bands, including Mustard Plug, Less Than Jake and even the underrated Buck-O-Nine. Overall, its a huge track with a massive crossover sound that bodes exceptionally well for the upcoming long player, which is due for release on September 27th.

The release of the single ties in with a huge US tour which sees the band supporting various legends of third wave ska. Between September and November, Kill Lincoln are on the road with Less Than Jake, Suicide Machines, The Planet Smashers, and Big D & The Kids Table.
