Last year, Justine & The Unclean released their debut album, ‘Get Unclean’. Although only half an hour long, the release showcased a variety of styles from hard rock to power pop, Phil Spector-ish flourishes and – perhaps most importantly – some of the best female fronted pop punk for a long while.
Various cult online music sites praised the album highly, so there was always a feeling they wouldn’t just be a one-shot deal.
They’re back with a new single, which they’re giving away for free!

The Steve Lamacq championed band have a few shows coming up over the next six weeks and they’ll also be promoting yet another single, ‘Seven Years’. The track has already been referred to as “nostalgic” and just one listen should tell you why. The three minute nugget is loaded with a world of guitar jangle that almost instantly transports the listener back to the mid 90s. It could be part of the soundtrack to your summer! Taken the their forthcoming album ‘Quiet Man’, out via CRC Records on June 15th, if the new single is indicative of the rest of the full length, those who like a deep, late night listen are in for something very enjoyable.
