Welcome back to the Real Gone Singles Bar, the place where we explore some of the individual tracks that have been sent our way over the past few weeks. This selection is another genuinely mixed bag, sharing – amongst other things – a country track, a dance number, a perfect homage to 90s shoegaze, and a tune from an up and coming rock band featuring a huge vocal. By releasing just three albums over a fourteen year span, you could definitely say that Dotsun Moon’s work is an exercise in quality over quantity. The one man band’s third long player,‘Tiger’, comes almost a decade after ‘A Swan’s Song’, but it’s a release that was definitely worth waiting for.
Since the release of their ‘Brave Warrior’ EP in 2021, Irish-Anglo band KEELEY have been a great source of thoughtful indie and shoegaze sounds. Their songs, mostly based around the disappearance of traveller Inga Maria Hauser, have provided a superb vehicle for the charismatic Keeley Moss, and whether delivering shimmering, atmospheric tunes (‘To A London Sunrise’) or really catchy pop-rockers (‘The Glitter & The Glue’), the band’s output has managed the rare feat of maintaining a high quality even with a prolific release schedule.

During the first half of 2025, our weekly Singles Bar feature went from strength to strength. The daily submissions piled up, and in keeping with the second half of ’24, no matter how many great tracks we highlighted, there always seemed to be a few that slipped through the cracks. This Summer Special shines a light on some of the greatest tunes and more interesting bands that didn’t make the cut. These shouldn’t be considered leftovers, though – everything here is of a hugely high standard. We’ve got blues, country, metal, a couple of interesting twists on a pop sound, a couple of off kilter indie bands…and far more besides. Grab yourselves a cuppa and turn up the volume: these twenty selections are all worth hearing in their own right, and when experienced together, act as a reminder of why our Singles Bar has become one of Real Gone’s most popular features.
