Welcome to 2013’s free Real Gone Sampler. It’s been an absolutely brilliant year for independent music – check out our end of year list here – and that’s been reflected by how many bands were keen to get involved in this now traditional project on its third anniversary. This year’s sixteen tracks (with a couple of strays from prior to 2013) came together remarkably quickly but, as always, there were a few obstacles along the way. It’s great that most of the bands we asked were on board instantly…and only one missed the deadline – an improvement on previous years.

Radiohead: Full length vintage gig available for free via Noisetrade
In conjunction with Paste, the excellent online music source Noisetrade are offering a full length live recording from Radiohead ABSOLUTELY FREE. What’s more, it’s from 1995 – recorded just a short time after the release of ‘The Bends’, y’know, back when they knew how to write accessible tunes.

Bear Driver have a track from their debut album featured on the soundtrack of ‘Stuck In Love’ which is out in UK cinemas this week.

Dead Wolf Club: New single and tour dates
Throughout 2012, Dead Wolf Club toured regularly to promote their debut album. Their second album is almost upon us.
Before the release of the new album (‘RAR’, released early 2013), Dead Wolf Club are proud to announce a new single, ‘Strange Letters’.
‘Strange Letters’ will be released in January as a 7″, strictly limited to 100 copies, which you can order here. The band’s debut can also be purchased here.
