Hard rock legends Jack Blades (Night Ranger) and Doug Aldrich (Burning Rain/Whitesnake) have teamed up with Journey drummer Deen Castronovo to form a supergroup.

Aldrich stepped down from his role as Whitesnake guitarist in May.

The currently unnamed project will feature Castronovo on vocals as well as drumming duties and are expected to release an album via Frontiers Records at some point in 2015, although studio regular Allesandro Del Vecchio (Angelica/Find Me) has been employed as producer.

In related news, Journey guitarist Neal Schon released a solo album ‘So U‘ in June.
