THE REAL GONE SINGLES BAR #93

Welcome back to the Real Gone Singles Bar, the place where we explore some of the individual tracks that have landed in our inbox over the previous few weeks. This time out, we’ve got the return of a much-loved pop band, a laid back narrative piece from a very familiar name, a great synth oriented workout, some huge riffs from the Medway area in South East England…and more besides. As is often the case with the SB, there’s no genre snobbery; just a spotlight on things we’ve found interesting. Hopefully, you’ll find something of interest too.

THE REAL GONE SINGLES BAR #90

This week at the Singles Bar, we bring you a whole world of different sounds. You’ll find something with an orchestral heart, some adult singer-songwriter fare, an indie rock band experimenting with something almost prog-like, and some massive sounding synth based pop. There are a couple of big rock based tunes too, so it’s almost got all of Real Gone’s audience interests covered in eight well-chosen tracks. As alwoays, we hope you find something new to enjoy…

If you’ve enjoyed anything at Real Gone recently, please consider buying us a virtual coffee at the link below. The cost of every cuppa will go towards our site running costs for 2025 and help us stay online. Thanks x

Not that people necessarily noticed: the album was released just weeks before the whole planet ground to a halt and the restrictions brought by Covid-19 pandemic meant that everyone had far more on their minds.

THE REAL GONE SINGLES BAR #81

This week’s visit to the Real Gone Singles Bar promises a whole world of variety. There are a couple of familiar names, but in terms of genre-hopping, the selection is very interesting. You’ll find something with a great pop heart, a track with a strong dance-oriented core, a slab of rockabilly from a band who last released an album forty years ago, some ska sounds that could well be boosted by a pair of massive Doc Martens, and more besides. As always, we hope you’ll find something new to enjoy…
