Four disc Cream live box set due in Febuary

There is some great news for Cream fans early next year. February 2020 will see the release of ‘Goodbye Tour’, a four disc live anthology bringing together recordings from the legendary trio’s final live dates. The set will include nineteen tracks previously unavailable on CD, including nine from The Royal Albert Hall, previously only available on DVD.

Although the new box set replicates the original ‘Goodbye’ album artwork, since it only features live recordings, it does not replicate the whole of the original ‘Goodbye’ album from 1969.  The three studio tracks – ‘Badge’, ‘Doing That Scrapyard Thing’ and ‘What A Bringdown’ can still be found on another essential Cream box set, 2008’s ‘Those Were The Days’.

The box set will take the large 12×12 format, following the design set by the previous ‘Fresh Cream’ box. A detailed accompanying book will include liner notes from Rolling Stone’s David Fricke.

  1. this is great news. along with the recent band of gypys f.e. box this completes my holy grail of live shows. now lets get the march 68 fillmore west and winterland shows out complete.
