Following news in the last quarter of 2013 that new editions of albums from the Led Zeppelin catalogue were to be unleashed, it has been confirmed that the first of these will be released in June.
Beginning a huge reissue campaign of the Zep catalogue, the bands first three albums will be reissued on June 2nd.
Although by the late 80s they had blossomed into one of Britain’s best loved AOR/melodic rock bands, Magnum’s career had somewhat shaky beginnings as a pub rock/covers band. While popular around the local haunts in Birmingham, playing covers was never likely to break them into the big leagues, but surprisingly, they gained the attention of CBS Records who released a cover version of ‘Sweets For My Sweet’ in 1975. The single flopped; Magnum and the label soon parted ways.
US punkers Against Me! hit Europe in the summer for a run of live shows. Promoting their 2014 release ‘Transgender Dysphoria Blues’, the band have been confirmed to appear at the following venues:
Released via Asian Man Records in conjunction with Community Records (sometime home of Best of the Worst), this eight track disc from Louisina’s All People is a release which never settles. While there are plenty of guitar driven moments and a punky energy within the material, ‘Communicate’ is a release recommended more for those listeners who enjoy a dose of reggae with their attitude. Although Dub War and The Clash would be the most obvious bands to namedrop, this four piece band have much more to offer than just recycled inspiration and although it would be easy (and lazy) to label them as just another ska/punk band, ‘Communicate’ features arrangements that have so much more to offer than your average skacore merchants.
Two dates in Span have been added to Bad Religion’s 2014 European tour.
The legendary punks will be visiting the following venues with Against Me! in support.
June 17, 2014 Madrid, Spain Riviera
June 18, 2014 Barcelona, Spain Sala Razzmatazz
The other confirmed dates for this part of the tour are:
