Following news in the last quarter of 2013 that new editions of albums from the Led Zeppelin catalogue were to be unleashed, it has been confirmed that the first of these will be released in June.
Beginning a huge reissue campaign of the Zep catalogue, the bands first three albums will be reissued on June 2nd.
New reissues of Led Zeppelin’s debut, ‘Led Zeppelin II’ and ‘Led Zeppelin III’ will come in a variety of formats. It has been confirmed that each will be reissued on vinyl, 2CD and 3CD configurations. No tracklistings are confirmed at present, though Jimmy Page has said he has unearthed a selection of session outtakes and alternate versions of classic tracks for inclusion.
It it not known whether the 3CD editions are to be issued as standard CDs, or whether these will come in a box set format with other archive material (as per the deluxe edition of Paul McCartney’s solo debut).
