Scottish rock band Silver Dollar Room are set to release their eagerly awaited second album ‘It Can’t Rain All The Time’. As a piece of last minute promotion, they’ve shared the chunky ‘Normal People’ as the follow up single to the brilliant – and devastating – ‘Monsters’.

This visit to the Real Gone Singles Bar sees the return of three familiar names, but their current tunes find the musicians sounding as good as ever. There’s always a pleasure in watching artists you admire grow, but in the case of singer songwriter Roisin McCarney, the Scottish singer shares one of her most mature sounding tracks to date. In terms of newer names, you’ll find a genre-bending act from Margate sharing an absolute banger, a couple of underground singer-songwriters, and even a perfectly pitched piece of early 60s inspired, guitar laden pop from Australia. A new offering from a UK born/Dubai based soul singer could be one of the best things you’ll hear before the autumnal weather sets in; a couple of legends provide the basis for a near perfect reggae banger, and an underground electronica musician really stretches out on his current single. We’ve also got a piece of fairly traditional sounding country, a loving tribute to a classic grunge sound, and a huge alternative rock tune from a band making their debut.
