Following the death of guitarist and founder member Jeff Hanneman and the departure of drummer of Dave Lombardo (once again), the Slayer machine will not be stopped. The band have announced a run of US dates for October and November, as follows:
KING WASHINGTON – The Overload
King Washington’s debut album [‘The Gears’, released in the summer of 2012] was a special record indeed. The previously unknown band really made an impression with their blend of retro roots rock and slightly more 90s attitude. Just over a year later, their musical journey continues in a different manner, with KW keen to both expand their range of sounds on ‘The Overload’ and to shift outside of their comfort zone.
UK live dates confirmed for Pat Travers in October ’13
Legendary rocker Pat Travers will play a string of live dates this October as part of the promotion for his 2013 release ‘Can Do’.
Starting with a show at Dartford’s Mick Jagger Centre, Travers will visit various small venues across the country, as follows:
Breed77 announce new vocalist
Following the live shows for their 2013 album ‘Evil Inside’, vocalist Paul Isola has left Breed 77. It is said he has departed due to “personal reasons”. The band are set to continue with new frontman Rui Lopez.
EASY TIGER – Easy Tiger EP
Back in the Autumn of 2011, Austin’s Easy Tiger released a two track single featuring well-constructed, Posies influenced alt-pop. Literally weeks later, they returned with a new drummer and this four track EP of songs named after girls. Although this second release has a slightly lighter tone at times, the better songs retain the spark of those prior recordings.
