On March 24th 2014, Universal Music will release a deluxe two-disc edition of Status Quo’s 1972 album ‘Piledriver’. Boasting the hit single ‘Paper Plane’, the album cemented Quo’s fascination with the three-chord boogie and became a long-standing fan favourite.
The deluxe edition adds a bonus disc featuring 15 BBC live recordings; seven from two different John Peel sessions between 1972-73, plus an eight song recording for ‘BBC In Concert’ from 1973.
UK rockers The Brew have released a video clip for their current single, ‘Repeat’ (viewable below).
The track is now available as an audio download from iTunes and also featured on their forthcoming album ‘Control’ (produced by Toby Jepson).
Hardcore punk legends Madball are set to play a handful of westcoast US dates, beginning in February. The confirmed dates and locations are below. The band currently have no scheduled plans to visit Europe.
As their support slots with Lamb of God draw to a close, those in Europe will get the opportunity to see US metal band Huntress headline their own shows very shortly.

The first acts have been confirmed for the 2014 Chagstock Festival.
Set across 70 acres of farmland in Whidden Down near Dartmoor, Chagstock has become one of the west country’s best-loved events. In 2013, the festival was headlined by The Boomtown Rats; the 2014 event will be headlined by British ska legends The Selecter. A big year for Pauline Black and co, who celebrate 35 years of their classic debut ‘Too Much Pressure’.
