Grab a free live album from They Might Be Giants

Since the mid-80s, They Might Be Giants have carved out a niche in quirky satirical songs, off-kilter power pop and more.  Despite having dozens of albums to their credit and having recorded literally hundreds of songs, it’s arguably 1990’s hit ‘Birdhouse In Your Soul’ and its parent album ‘Flood’ for which they best known.

Three disc reissue of Judas Priest’s ‘Turbo’ due for release in February

Arguably one of the most unloved Halford-fronted Judas Priest albums, ‘Turbo’ was also the band’s most commercial sounding.  Originally conceived as a double album, Columbia Records didn’t have the confidence that Priest had enough pulling power to shift units of an expensive two-record set and so the proposed eighteen tracks was scaled down to a more digestible nine track affair.

New video from UK punk-poppers As The Sun Sleeps

We’re nearing the end of the year.  It’s been a mixed bag.
2017 is set to begin in style when British punk-pop band As The Sun Sleeps release their new EP in January.  It’s one of the best things to come out of the genre in a very long time, equal to classics from early blink-182 and Sum 41.  If you can’t wait until the EP release, check out the new video for lead track ‘Beering’.  It’s a really catchy track and a good indicator of the quality of the EP.
