Set to take place over Easter weekend 2019, the Manchester Punk Festival (MPF) is expected to feature over 130 bands. The punk equivalent of the Camden Crawl Festival, the event will take place in Manchester City Centre and be hosted in eight different venues.

Deer Tick confirm new compilation release for February ’19
Cult indie/Americana band Deer Tick have confirmed they will release a new album in February 2019.
Entitled ‘Mayonnaise’, the album will feature re-workings of tracks from 2017’s critically acclaimed ‘Deer Tick Vol. 1’ and ‘Vol. 2’ albums alongside some well chosen cover tunes, including familiar material written by George Harrison and The Velvet Underground.
Rose Tattoo: 5CD box set featuring archive live shows due very soon
Aussie rock legends Rose Tattoo have always been better known for their ferocious live performances. On October 17th, Cleopatra Records will release ‘Scarred For Live: 1980-1982’, a five disc set featuring the band during their classic years.
Among other things, the set includes their appearance at the Reading Festival in 1981. The show was recorded by the BBC and got a couple of repeat plays during Alan Freeman’s Radio 1 Rock Show in the early 90s.

Van Morrison to release 40th studio album ‘The Prophet Speaks’ in December
Van Morrison has been on somewhat of a creative role of late. He only released his last studio album ‘You’re Driving Me Crazy’ (a collaboration with jazz man Joey DeFrancesco in July, but it’s been confirmed he’ll release new studio material before the end of 2018.
Carter USM: Massive career-spanning vinyl box set to be released in November
On November 30th, Cherry Red Records will issue a strictly limited box set containing the complete studio recordings by legendary indie band Carter USM.
