Blending elements of gothic metal, a touch of industrial groove and layering that with occasional death metal growls, Gods of Decay served up some really huge sounds on their 2021 LP ‘Collective Psychosis’.

For the Tokyo based band, this marriage of melody and heaviness often creates a brilliant contrast, but also creates a surprisingly accessible sound. This is most obvious on the album’s title cut, which has now been given a full video clip, where various cyberpunk style visuals – inspired by Tokyo’s neon nightlife – provide a perfect companion to the track.
