Seattle legends Paerl Jam have been confirmed as the headline act for the Saturday line up of next year’s Isle of Wight Festival. The other confirmed headliners are Tom Petty (Friday) and Bruce Springsteen (Sunday).
The grunge band’s visit to the UK next year sadly will not include a full tour, but the band will play a one-off date in Manchester as a warm-up for the festival appearance.
Pearl Jam’s 2010 album ‘Backspacer’ was almost unanimously well-received, earning a placing in the top ten of every major record buying country in the world (France, being the exception to this, where the album peaked at an underwhelming #20). In Autralia, New Zealand, the US and Croatia, the album hit the #1 spot.
Confirmed acts for the 2012 Isle of Wight Festival are as follows:
Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
Noah And The Whale
