Mark Morriss: ‘Look Up’ to receive full release; extensive tour dates throughout ’19

A maker of often undervalued and eclectic solo works, Bluetones frontman man Mark Morriss has a big cult following away from his “main career”.   Over the past few years, he’s provided soundtracks for various David Walliams projects and released a brilliant covers album, ‘The Taste of Mark Morriss’, on which he puts his own stamp on artists as stylistically diverse as Madonna, Scott Walker and The Sisters of Mercy. Deer Tick confirm new compilation release for February ’19

Cult indie/Americana band Deer Tick have confirmed they will release a new album in February 2019.

Entitled ‘Mayonnaise’, the album will feature re-workings of tracks from 2017’s critically acclaimed ‘Deer Tick Vol. 1’ and ‘Vol. 2’ albums alongside some well chosen cover tunes, including familiar material written by George Harrison and The Velvet Underground.

Glenn Frey & JD Souther collaboration Longbranch/Pennywhistle to be released on vinyl in September

Glenn Frey’s fans have always had knowledge of his pre-Eagles band with singer-songwriter JD Souther, but for many years, the Longbranch/Pennywhistle album from 1969 was notoriously difficult to find. In May 2018, the album was reissued as part of the Glenn Frey anthology box ‘Above The Clouds’, but it has been almost half a century since the album was last available on a vinyl format.
