In preparations for recording new material, Norwegian death metallers Crest of Darkness have been busy rehearsing. They recently posted a video clip of recent rehearsals which can be seen in full below.
On August 17th, the band enter the studio to begin recording a new EP (yet to be titled) to follow up 2013’s ‘In The Presence of Death’. The first things to be recorded for the new material will be drum tracks.
Death metal merchants Decapitated will unleash a new album at the end of the summer. The beginning of the year ensured a busy calendar for the Polish band when they supported Lamb of God on their European tour and the new album will only help maintain their current profile.
One of Ireland’s original death metal bands, Ogre released three albums in the early nineties before disappearing. After a twenty year holiday, the trio return with the joyously titled ‘Bastards of Death’. On the surface, Ogre sound like any number of extreme metal bands that you care to mention since most of their material throttles along at breakneck speed while the chosen vocalist sounds like he’s channelling the voices of thousand demons while suffering from a throat defect. If that description sounds either disrespectful or plain silly, then fear not: Ogre take the confines of the death metal genre and have fun with their sound from time to time – and since the band aren’t always taking things entirely seriously, there’s little reason why their audience should either.
UK death metallers Desecration are back with a new album on June 26th, but before the album drops, they’ve issued a new video clip.
Earlier in February, death metallers Diabolical announced a run of dates for the third stint of their ‘Neogenesis’ tour. There’s more good news for fans, as they’ve added extra shows!
