In support of their eighth album, the acclaimed ‘Codes & Keys’, alternative band Death Cab For Cutie have announced three UK live shows.

Alternative rockers Jane’s Addiction have released a video for ‘Irresistible Force’, a track from their forthcoming studio album, ‘The Great Escape Artist’.
‘The Great Escape Artist; is the band’s first new work since 2003’s ‘Strays’, their Bob Ezrin produced reunion album. It was originally due for release in September but has since had it’s release delayed. It is now expected that the long-awaited new album will be released on October 4th.
The band were also scheduled to appear at the UK Reading and Leeds festivals, but shows were cancelled due to ill-health. An intimate show at London’s Koko on August 30th went ahead as originally planned.
Legendary UK AOR/pomp band Magnum will be releasing a new disc on November 14th.
Although the release will contain new performances, not all of the material is brand new. ‘Evolution’ sees Bob Catley, Tony Clarkin and co revisiting some of the material from a few of their more recent works. In addition to the reworked material, the album will feature two previously unavailable songs.

Sometime Mr Big and Poison guitarist Richie Kotzen is releasing a new solo album this coming November. Kotzen’s solo works typically cover a veriety of genres (dependant on the artist’s mood at the time of writing), but it is said that the new release – entitled ’24 Hours’ – will take his guitar abilities and soloing to a whole new level.
No formal tracklisting has been released so far.
’24 Hours’ is released via Headroom on November 11th. It will be Kotzen’s 17th solo abum.
Stoner rock outfit Fu Manchu are to perform the whole of their classic ‘In Search Of…’ album during live sets on their upcoming North American tour. The band has already played the whole album to a hugely enthusiatic London crowd at a UK appearance earlier in 2011.
