Scorpions: Live in 3D – track listing revealed

German rockers Scorpions have revealed the tracklisting for their upcoming live Blu Ray release.

Released on December 6th, ‘Get Your Sting and Blackout’ was recorded in Saarbrücken, Germany, and includes many of the band’s best loved tracks:

The Blu Ray was filmed using state-of-the-art technology and 11 cameras. The soundtrack to the concert will be available in both stereo and 5.1 sound. It is not yet known whether a standard 2D version of the concert will also be issued.

Cavalera Conspiracy confirmed for Aussie festival

Cavalera Conspiracy are among a slew of new bands added to the line-up of Australia’s 2012 Big Day Out festival.

The band – featuring ex-Sepultura men Max and Igor Cavalera – are to join Soundgarden, Noel Gallagher, My Chemical Romance, Royksopp and Aussie favourites The Living End as part of the Antipodean travelling festival between January and February next year.

Alice Cooper to play UK Bloodstock Festival

Rock legend Alice Cooper has been confirmed for the line-up of next year’s Bloodstock Festival.

Following live shows to promote his 2011 release ‘Welcome 2 My Nightmare’, Alice will appear as one of the headline acts at the UK festival next August.

So far, the confirmed bill features the following:

Maccabees announce first 2012 tour dates

Following their October/November tour of small venues to road-test new material, indie-pop band The Maccabees have announced their first dates for 2012.

Following the release of the band’s third album ‘Gone To The Wild’ on January 9th, the band take to the road once again and have been confirmed to appear at the following venues at the end of that month:
