Lemonheads to release acoustic record

Evan Dando has announced the release of an acoustic Lemonheads record in 2012.

‘The Hotel Sessions’ features just Dando and his guitar and was recorded live to cassette in an Australian hotel room prior to the band’s 1994 release ‘Come on Feel the Lemonheads’.

Many of the songs featured on ‘The Hotel Sessions’ were eventually included on ‘Come On Feel’ in their finished versions, but there are still a couple of songs which were left behind: ‘And So The Story Goes’ is previously unheard in any form, while ‘Superhero’ was subsequently recorded by Tom Morgan’s indie pop band Smudge. ‘You Can Take It With You’ – the track which closed the original ‘Come On Feel’ album is presented in two halves.

The confirmed tracklist is as follows:

‘Big Gay Heart’
‘Great Big No’
‘Paid To Smile’
‘It’s About Time’
‘Style’
‘I’ll Do It Anyway’
‘Rest Assured’
‘You Can Take It With You (prt.2)’
‘Down About It’
‘Into Your Arms’
‘Superhero’
‘And So The Story Goes’
‘Being Around’
‘You Can Take It With You (prt.1)’

‘The Hotel Sessions’ is released on January 9th 2012.
