On 11th November, the European website Metal Underground Austria conducted an interview with Trivium frontman Matt Heafy, which you can now watch below.
The interview took place between shows on Trivium’s European tour, where they are currently appearing with As I Lay Dying and Caliban.
A previously unheard track by punk icons Rancid has surfaced online.
The track, entitled ‘Fuck You’ is included on a new compilation ‘Oi! This Is Streetpunk, Volume 2’, a vinyl only compilation which will be released on Pirates Press Records on 12th December 2012.
Although the album is vinyl only and not released yet, you can stream it all – including the new offering from Rancid – at this location. No other information regarding the source or age of the Rancid track is known at this time.
Yo La Tengo have posted a new video online for the track ‘Before We Run’, taken from their upcoming studio record ‘Fade’.
Now in their 28th year, ‘Fade’ is Yo La Tengo’s thirteenth studio album, their first since 2009. It is due for release via Matador Records in on January 14th 2013.
Stone Sour have released a new video for their track ‘Absolute Zero’.
The song comes from the Iowa band’s fourth album ‘House of Gold and Bones Part 1’, released in October 2012. The album’s sequel is expected at some point during 2013.

US electronic/alt-rockers Metric have posted a new video online, which can now be seen below.
The track ‘Breathing Underwater’ is taken from the band’s 2012 release ‘Synthetica’.
Metric have also announced the digital release of ‘Synthetica Deluxe’ for November 20th. Physical copies of ‘Synthetica Deluxe’ are released on December 4th.
