THE MAD DOCTORS – Snake Oil Superscience

a3046448713_2Brooklyn space-psych rockers The Mad Doctors released their EP ‘Fuzz Tonic!’ via Doctor Gone Records in the spring of 2013;  its five echo drenched numbers gave an insight into their hybrid sound of garage rock/hard psych and surf music, but its limited recording budget hampered listening enjoyment to a degree.   A year on, their first full-length ‘Snake Oil Superscience’ shows a great improvement.

Corrosion of Conformity: UK tour dates

Following the return of vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan, Corrosion of Conformity went back into the studio.  A new album is due at some point this year.

Before that, the band return to the UK for  a short run of dates in March:

ADOLESCENTS / SVETLANAS – Hot War split EP

21140This 2015 split brings together four previously released tracks from a couple of great punk bands.  Like most great splits, each band represents a different country and in the case of Hot War, the US and Russia come together in a full throttle punk face off, clawing chunks from each other in a ten minute bout.

Awake & Dreaming: Real Gone meets Mick Terry

In 2010, London based singer-songwriter Mick Terry released ‘The Grown Ups’, a debut album with a personal quality.  Its creation came as a surprise, since Terry wasn’t especially planning on recording an album after returning to music after a family-raising break.  Since 2012, he’s been working on a follow-up.  Real Gone caught up with him in January 2015 to find out if it’s almost finished…
