Primus to perform “Wonka” shows in the UK

Primus visited the UK for a two short runs of shows supporting their ‘Green Naugahyde’ LP in 2012, but are set to return in June 2015 for something a little different.  Already well received in the US, the classic line-up of Les, Ler and Herb will play three shows reinterpreting the soundtrack for the 1971 movie ‘Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory’ as per their own 2014 LP.

THE SNOOKYS – Junk Food

snookysThe Snookys released their first EP in 2009.  Since that time, the Bergamo-based band’s music has gone through a few changes: their 2010 full length ‘Set The World On Fire!’ is a sharp and well-produced foray into punk ‘n’ roll, like Rocket From The Crypt tackled at a Ramones speed, by 2012 they’d retooled their energy into a far more trebly garage rock sound.  Their evolution continued, and with that a descent into even rawer sounds. By the time of 2014’s ‘Junk Food’, their sound had become even more lo-fi, but this only served to give their garage rock chops an even more live feel.
