In the twilight of the northern hemisphere summer of 2026, Swedish goth-pop/post punk band Then Comes Silence released a brilliant single, ‘Judgement Day’. The track was ideal for the first time listener, presenting a very melodic side to the band. From the outset, the commercial edge to the recording – presenting a superb melody where punchy 80s keys are offset by swirling guitar sounds, mixing dark pop with post punk and classic synth-goth elements – powered one of the best Then Comes Silence recordings to date.

For those who are already familiar with the band’s work, a behind the scenes look at the making of the ‘Judgement Day’ video will certainly bring a feeling of fun, at least in a goth sense. The short documentary – which can be seen in full below – takes the viewer on set for the video shoot, as well as giving a brief insight into the band’s success in their home country, and tips the hat to the Swedish goth scene, its clubs and extended family. The video also introduces the world to Hugo the dog, making it a broadly entertaining watch that’s been made with love.
