Reckless Yes is an independent label which, in their own words, sets out with a “focus on working ethically with artists”. In the past, they’ve released limited edition vinyl singles by Bivouac and Mower and their current roster includes Bluetones man Mark Morriss and relative newcomers, Fightmilk.
Moriss’s current album ‘Look Up’ has been absolutely loved by fans and critics alike and could easily be considered one of the finest releases of his long career. Fightmilk have gained a cult following in a short time and their first EP really brings back memories of so much great music from the 90s – in fact, parts of it capture the spirit of Sleeper’s ‘Smart’ in a way that few have managed in a very long time.
The label have just announced a new membership scheme/subscription club for 2020. Fans can gain early access to all of the year’s planned releases on the format of their choice. There hasn’t been much indication of what’s coming…so far, but if their current vinyl edition of the Mark Morriss album is any kind of benchmark, there’ll be a few absolutely beautiful items to add to your collection along the way.
