Following 2011’s deluxe reissues of Thin Lizzy’s ‘Bad Reputation’, ‘Chinatown’ and the seminal ‘Black Rose’ (featuring Gary Moore), there is another Thin Lizzy reissue planned for 2012.

‘Live At The BBC’ will be available in three formats: a lavish 7CD + 1 DVD box set, a scaled down 2CD set containing the highlights, plus a 5LP vinyl set.

No final release date has been set, or tracklisting revealed, since the release is still being compiled.  It’s hoped the box set release will contain Thin Lizzy session and live recording made by the BBC, but there are still a few sessions missing from the archives, all dated between 1971-73.

The current line-up of the band, featuring original drummer Brian Downey and long-serving guitarist Scott Gorham have also announced tour dates for January/February 2012.  You can catch Thin Lizzy, with support on all dates from Clutch, at the following venues:
