Last year, Robert Berry released one of the best albums of 2018 in ‘3.2: The Rules Have Changed’. Combining prog rock grandness with Berry’s usual knack for hooks and melodies, the album presented various unrealised ideas from Keith Emerson, discussed with Berry before his passing.

Roo Panes to issue deluxe version of ‘Quiet Man’ album; New tour dates announced
In 2018, singer songwriter Roo Panes released his album ‘Quiet Man’ to critical acclaim. A performer often likened to Nick Drake, he promoted the album with an extensive run of live dates including a sold out show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
A year on, ‘Quiet Man’ is to receive a deluxe reissue. The new edition includes three previously unreleased studio tracks – including the new single ‘Commentator’ (listen below) and six live tracks recorded at the Shepherd’s Bush gig.
Kristin Hersh & Fred Abong back in the UK for another run of live dates in March
Throughout the summer of 2018, Kristin Hersh toured extensively for her critically acclaimed album ‘Possible Dust Clouds’. A lengthy run of dates found Kristin and supporting artist Fred Abong visiting all corners of UK and playing at some very intimate venues.
Kristin and Fred are back for another tour beginning on March 8th. For those who missed the previous leg, the new dates involve similarly small venues, so if you’d like to see some great artists up close, the opportunity shouldn’t be missed a second time.
Fred also releases a new EP ‘Pulsing’ on March 8th.
The Radio Buzzkills invite you to ‘Get Lost’…
The last few years have been very much a case of “onward and upward” for The Radio Buzzkills. The St. Louis pop-punkers released their EP ‘The Quick & The Cheap’ in April 2016 and just five months later plans were afoot for the band to share a stage with their hero and Screeching Weasel co-founder, John Jughead.
Their tenacious and never-say-die attitude led to the Buzzkills working with another of their heroes, Dave Parasite, on the first full length album the following year. Released early 2018, ‘Get Fired!’ was a masterpiece of pop punk. With a couple of Parasite co-writes and an amazing production job, The Buzzkills had made a classic record, their very own equivalent of Screeching Weasel’s ‘Anthem For A New Tomorrow’.
