Near the end of 2017, singer-songwriter T.E. Yates released his debut album ‘Silver Coins & White Feathers’. The long-player was the dictionary definition of “mixed bag” and T.E. chose a vocal style that wasn’t always easy to appreciate, but that didn’t stop it being an interesting record. In fact, there were some hidden gems.

From early gigs and their first proper album ‘Goodbye To The Age of Steam’, the elusive ‘Bard’, work with vocalist Sean Filkins and beyond, their first decade or so was about constant growth and change. While often recording great material, it seemed the band just couldn’t settle. With the release of ‘The Underfall Yard’ and the addition of vocalist David Longdon to their ranks, the band’s fortunes changed.
God Damn unveil new video, announce short hiatus
They’ve had enough crossover appeal to play at both the Download and Reading/Leeds Festivals, shared stages with Foo Fighters and The Cribs and more. Wolverhampton’s God Damn have now unveiled a new video for the devastating ‘I’ll Bury You’, a track that combines noisy art-rock elements with a sludge-fuelled riff.
The video marks the end of the current chapter in the band’s history. They’re now about to take a short break and reflect before writing their next album.

As part of the promotion for their second EP, As Sirens Fall have issued a new video for ‘In My Mind’, featuring Skindred frontman Benji Webbe. A great crossover track combining the band’s own melodic metal/emo style with various reggae breakdowns, it’s a superb showcase for all concerned. The song has been called a “battle cry” with it’s big chorus hook and frontman Mikey has claimed that making the video was “absolute insanity” since the band “shot enough footage to make a short film”.
