In October 2018, Boston rockers Watts returned with a new digital single ‘Queens’, a blast of guitar-driven goodness that added another piece of retro trashiness to their expanding legacy.
Moving into the new year, they’ve kick started 2019 by sharing another new track.
In 2017, Justine And The Unclean delivered an absolute belter of a debut LP. After a couple of punky tracks were offered as digital downloads, the album itself proved far more varied with Covault and co showing they were just as adept at power pop and other retro rock styles.
Recently, Essex based pop sensations The 1957 Tail-Fin Fiasco unveiled a new video for ’59 Grams’ as a precursor to their next album release.

Dot Dash’s 2018 LP ‘Proto Retro’ is easily the best of their career. For the prolific band, the album very much presents a turning point: they’ve dispensed with the punkier elements and Mod based experiments. Instead, ‘Proto Retro’ concentrates on the band’s power pop interests.
Washington’s Dot Dash have been releasing independent albums since 2011, but their current release ‘Proto Retro’ is far and away their best yet. They’ve embraced a more commercial style which really should appeal to the power pop crowd.
