Real Gone favourites The Dead Exs have a few live dates coming up over the course of the next few weeks. Those in the US and Canada can catch the garage blues duo at the following places:
R.E.M. ‘Green’ deluxe edition to be released in May
A 2CD deluxe edition of R.E.M.’s ‘Green’ will be released in May. Arguably the band’s finest album, the new edition pairs the original release with a disc of previously unreleased live recordings.
The newly released live gig was recorded live in Greensboro in 1989 on the penultimate night of the ‘Green’ tour.
DE LA CRUZ – Street Level
There have been some great bands exported from Australisia over the decades. Crowded House have blessed us with near-perfect and often very thoughtful pop; Cold Chisel raised the bar for no-nonsense rock ‘n’ roll; Peter Garrett and Midnight Oil proved – perhaps more than any of their American counterparts – that hard rock and politics can go hand in hand and still shift millions of units. Something UK and US audiences rarely associated with the southern hemispheres is sleaze/glam rock. Frontiers signings De La Cruz are here to help fly that flag.
New Found Glory: extended tour dates for ‘Stick and Stones’ anniversary tour
New Found Glory have added extra dates to their current US tour, celebrating ten years of their breakthrough record ‘Sticks and Stones’.
The extra dates can be seen below.
Streetlight Manifesto: upcoming tour dates
US ska merchants Streetlight Manifesto have finally set a date for their next release. After various delays, ‘The Hands That Thieve’ will be released in the US on April 30th 2013.
To help promote the album, the band will be trakking across the US and Europe. The run of dates includes a stop-off in the UK, although no London date has been scheduled. The closest the band get to visiting the capital is a show at The University of Herts in Hatfield, a few miles further north.
