As the Guns n’ Roses US tour gets more dates added, hard rock band Buckcherry have confirmed they will fill the support slot at select shows.

Leeds metal band Mishkin have had a summer. They’ve recorded and released the critically acclaimed ‘Row Away From The Rocks’ EP, had their video aired on Kerrang! TV and Scuzz and performed at various festivals.

INXS have announced the appointment of a new lead vocalist.
Ciaran Gribbin is now the band’s official singer/frontman, replacing JD Fortune who was fired for a second time last year.
Gribbin met INXS keyboard player/songwriter at a party two years ago, and has already recorded new demos with the band.
Farriss does not have “a master plan” regarding the band’s future, who have appeared somewhat unstable since the death of Michael Hutchence in 1997, but live shows are definite, with the band taking to the road this coming November.
INXS’s best loved album, ‘Kick’ (released in 1987) has now been certified 6x platinum.

Dio’s second album, ‘The Last In Line’, is to be reissued as a remastered 2CD deluxe edition in Japan in November.
The album, which was originally released in 1984, followed the classic ‘Holy Diver’ and often lives in the shadow of that Dio classic. However, it is still considered a fan favourite and spawned the US and UK hits ‘Mystery’ and ‘We Rock’.
The new Japanese issue is to be issued in high fidelity SHM format and includes a whole disc of live material. A similar reissue for Dio’s third album, ‘Sacred Heart’ is also in the works. At the time of writing, there are no plans to issue either of the special editions outside Japan.

Popular UK music news website NME announced last night that the legendary Tom Waits would be collaborating with the Preservation Hall Jazz band on a limited edition 78rpm single.
This news is in fact one year old!
The news was originally posted on Waits’s official website on October 11th 2010, with orders taken in November.

Waits, meanwhile, does have a brand new album on the way. ‘Bad As Me’, a completely new collection of songs, is in stores on October 24th. A digital download of the title cut has been available since August 23rd.
