Riot: More US tour dates announced

Hard rock legends Riot have announced three east coast dates as part of their US tour to promote new album ‘Immortal Soul’.

In January 2012, Riot can be seen at the following venues:
Jan. 18 – New York, NY @ BB King Blues Club & Grill
Jan. 19 – West Springfield, VA @ Jaxx
Jan. 20 – Rochester, NY @ Montage Music Hall

The band’s fourteenth studio record, ‘Immortal Soul’ was their first in five years, re-uniting what many fans believe to be the “classic” Riot line-up.

Ace Frehley breaks wrist – UK live dates cancelled

Ace Frehley suffered a fall on Sunday evening resulting in a fractured wrist.

As a result, the ex-KISS guitarist has been forced to cancel his upcoming UK appearances.  The affected dates are as follows:

Dec. 01 – Cardiff, Wales – Coal Exchange
Dec. 03 – Pontins Prestatyn, North Wales – Hard Rock Hell Festival
Dec. 04 – London, England – Islington Academy

Herman Rarebell to join Michael Schenker for Japanese leg of tour

As part of his ‘Tower of Rock’ tour, ex-Scorpions/UFO guitarist Michael Schenker is scheduled to visit Japan in 2012. On the Japanese leg of the tour, Schenker will be joined by Demon Drive vocalist Michael Voss and ex-Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell.

Japanese fans will be able to catch Schenker at the following venues:
March 27 – Namba Hatch – Osaka, Japan
March 28 – Diamond Hall – Nagoya, Japan
March 29 – Nakano Sun Plaza – Tokyo, Japan
March 30 – Nakano Sun Plaza – Tokyo, Japan

Schenker’s current album, 2011’s ‘Tower of Rock’ features a host of guest musicians, including Voss and Rarebell, alongside Scorpions man Rudolf Schenker, Doogie White, ex-UFO man Pete Way, ex-Whitesnake bassist Neil Murray, Deep Purple’s Don Airey and Mountain’s Leslie West.

Sin City Sinners: new Xmas video now online

Sin City Sinners – the trashy rock band featuring Faster Pussycat’s Brent Muscat, Raging Slab’s Rob Cournoyer and Todd Kerns of Slash’s band (and Canadian rockers Age of Electric) – have just released a festive collection.

‘A Sinners Christmas’ features the band’s takes on various yuletide numbers, while also boasting an array of guest performers (including Stray Cats man Slim Jim Phantom and Love/Hate’s Jizzy Pearl, among others). To promote the album, the band have released a video clip for ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’, which can be viewed below.

Girlschool confirmed for Swedish festival

Girlschool have been confirmed for the line up of the 2012 Sweden Rocks festival.

They will join Blue Oyster Cult, Symphony X, Slade, Motley Crue and more at the four day event which will host more than seventy acts.
