Tracklisting revealed for upcoming Nile album

Next month tech/death metallers Nile release their seventh album, ‘At The Gate of Sethu’.

The confirmed tracklist is as follows:

Enduring The Eternal Molestation Of Flame
The Fiends Who Come To Steal The Magick Of The Deceased
The Inevitable Degradation Of Flesh
When My Wrath Is Done
Slaves Of Xul
The Gods Who Light Up The Sky At The Gate Of Sethu
Natural Liberation Of Fear Through The Ritual Deception Of Death
Ethno-Musicological Cannibalisms
Tribunal Of The Dead
Supreme Humanism Of Megalomania
The Chaining Of The Iniquitous

A limited edition housed in a digipak will include the following bonus tracks:

Enduring The Eternal Molestation Of Flame (instrumental)
The Inevitable Degradation Of Flesh (instrumental)

According to the band, the new record includes material which follows “similar territory to other Nile records” with a “lot of material [stemming] from Ancient Egyptology”, but fans should expect “a lot of surpises on the record“.

‘At The Gate of Sethu’ is released via Nuclear Blast Records in Europe on June 29th and in the US on July 3rd.

Snider’s album of Broadway tunes with a rock twist was released via Razor & Tie Records in May. The first video clip from the album, Snider’s take on ‘Mack The Knife’ can also be seen via the second link.

Madness to play a string of UK arena shows this winter

Ahead of the release of their yet to be titled new album, Camden’s self-proclaimed Nutty Boys are to play a string of shows at huge UK venues this winter.

Following their second Madness weekender, a three night event at Butlins in Minehead, Suggs and co take to the road, and will be appearing at the following venues:

Fans can expect to hear tunes from the forthcoming album, although at the time of the tour, the new record will still not be released.

Pearl Jam to headline 2012 Budweiser ‘Made In America’ festival

Pearl Jam have been confirmed as one of the headline acts at this years ‘Made In America’ festival.

This years event – sponsored by Budweiser – is curated by rapper Jay-Z, who will also make a headline appearance.

Joining the two headliners will be Calvin Harris, Janelle Monae, Skrillex, Dirty Projectors, Miike Snow, Passion Pit, Odd Future, Santigold and D’Angelo.

The festival will take place on September 1st and 2nd at Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park.

New vlog by former Judas Priest guitarist KK Downing now online

Prior to Judas Priest going around the world once again on their ‘Epitaph Tour’, long-serving guitarist KK Downing announced he would not be joining them. Having been a member of Priest since the early 1970s, KK decided it was time to bow out of the limelight. The Priest machine rolled on, with new guitarist Richie Faulkner on board.

In May 2012, Downing posted a video message on YouTube, which can now be seen below. For those wanting more, the second embedded video features a full length interview with KK, with The Valley FM.
