Stream the new track from Elastic Sleep

Earlier in 2014, Irish dream pop/shoegaze band Elastic Sleep released their debut EP ‘Leave You’. Now, at the close of an already brilliant year for music, they’ve unleashed a new track ‘Slip’.

Darker and more intense than any of the EPs recordings, this track really captures the heavier side of the band’s output centring around a chugging bassline that hints at goth influences while a trashy guitar throws out chunks of downtuned noise.  Somewhere in the centre Muireann Levis pitches her voice almost in a dreamlike state as she channels Elizabeth Fraser.   This blend of Cocteau Twins and My Bloody Valentine far outshines anything the band have recorded previously and promises great things for the future.
