The E Street Band has always been treated like a family unit. The death of the saxophonist in June has left a hole which is almost impossible to fill.

According to guitarist Steve Van Zant, the band “wasn’t the same” after the death of keyboard player Danny Federici in 2008. He also said it’s likely the band will “carry on playing music ’til the end…because that’s what we do.

Clarence Clemons died on June 18th.
