Speed metal legends Megadeth have been confirmed as the headline act for Mexico’s Heaven & Hell Metal Fest.
To be held on November 19th in Guadalajara, the festival is Mexico’s only only open air festival and is expected to attract 20,000 metal fans. Across four stages, the festival will be host to over fifty acts.
Other big names set to appear include Fear Factory and Overkill.

2010’s ‘Road Salt One’ was an album which polarised fans, moving avay from Pain of Salvation’s previous progressive metal style and showcasing the band in more of a jam band/classic rock light.
A new song, ‘Conditioned’ can be streamed from the band’s facebook page. Listeners will need to ‘like’ the band’s page in order to hear the new track.
Dutch symphonic rock band Delain have begun work on their third album. The yet-to-be titled disc is being recorded in Sweden with producers Jacob Hellner, previously noted for his production work with Apocolyptica and Rammstein), Fredrik Thomander and Anders Wikström, who’ve both worked with German rock legends Scorpions.
The album will be Delain’s first album to feature new guitarist Timo Somers.
Delain’s previous album, ‘April Rain’ was a critical and commercial success, reaching #14 in the Dutch album chart and #19 in Japan.
In support of their second full length album ‘Golden’ (available in both Spanish and English language versions), Eldorado are set to bring their brand of retro rock to the US and Canada this winter.

Riot will release a new album this October.
‘Immortal Soul’, the band’s fourteenth album, will be released on October 21 in Japan, October 26 in Scandinavia, October 28 in Germany Austria and Switzerland, October 31 in the rest of Europe and November 22 in the U.S. and Canada.

‘Immortal Soul’ is the band’s first studio album to feature Tony Moore on vocals since 1990’s ‘Privilege of Power’.
Mike DiMeo who held the vocalist’s position from 1993 and last appeared on a Riot album in 2006 was last heard on Ilium’s 2011 release.
