Lamb of God: new ‘Desolation’ video released

US groove metallers Lamb of God have released a new video for their single ‘Desolation’ which can be seen below.

The track comes from the band’s best-selling seventh album ‘Resolution’, which was released in 2011. ‘Resolution’ gave the band a top three hit on the US Billboard Chart, as well as breaking the top ten in Finland and Australia. In the UK, the album reached a respectable position, reaching #19.

Video interview with Rush’s Geddy and Alex

Coinciding with the release of Rush’s 2012 album ‘Clockwork Angels’, bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson gave an interview with Jeff Woods of ExploreMusic, which you can now view below.

‘Clockwork Angels’ is the legendary Canadian band’s first release since 2007’s ‘Snakes and Arrows’.

New Raveonettes album due in October

The Raveonettes will release a new studio album in October 2012.

The sixth album from the Danish duo will be titled ‘Observator’ and is produced by Richard Gottehrer, previously known for his work as a Brill Building songwriter (his best known titles include ‘I Want Candy’ and ‘My Boyfriend’s Back).

Gottehrer previously worked with The Raveonettes on their 2005 release ‘Pretty and Black’. His other credits include work on The Go-Go’s ‘Beauty & The Beat’ and Blondie’s debut LP.

At the time of writing, no official tracklisting has been announced for ‘Observator’.

Wot Gorilla?: Snow White video

With their name taken from a track from the 1976 Genesis album ‘Wind & Wuthering’, you’d expect the English band Wot Gorilla’s sound to incorporate elements of classic prog rock, but the up and coming band from Halifax take things a step farther.

Their music mixes prog rock, math metal and a dose of pop, which you can sample from their ‘Snow White’ video below.

New Metric video ‘Youth Without Youth’

Metric’s fifth studio album ‘Synthetica’ was released in the US today. Fans in the UK and the rest of the world have to wait another week until the Canadian band’s new album is released in other territories, so in the meantime, enjoy the new video for ‘Youth Without Youth’.

‘Synthetica’ follows Metric’s 2009 release ‘Fantasies’, which reached #6 on the Canadian album chart.
