Listen: Josaleigh Pollett shares new track ‘Bed Of Quiet’

The promotion for Josaleigh Pollett’s upcoming album ‘If I Let It Quiet’ has been a slow and measured affair. From the release of ‘Radio Player’ – a complex, multi-layered number – in October 2025 – each successive single has presented a slightly different aspect to the singer-songwriter’s sound and influences. Each one has promised that, if nothing else, ‘If I Let It Quiet’ will be an interesting listen.

Released a little over a week ahead of the album itself, ‘Bed of Quiet’ expands on the more ambient elements of Pollett’s sounds by sharing a swooning synth and hushed vocal for an impressive intro presenting a perfect musical marriage. From there, the number takes on a strong identity via a variety of influences. Occasional beats hint at something different over the horizon, and eventually the number explodes with life, sharing a mix of 90s indie sounds and a world of 80s synth pop, creating something that feels arty – even if not quite as arty as ‘Radio Player’ – yet still accessible and radio friendly. No matter where the music goes, it’s impossible not to be drawn in by Josaleigh’s emotive voice; it’s always soft, yet conveys a spooky power that’s almost beguiling.

This, much like ‘Radio Player’ and ‘The Witness’ gives the more demanding indie music fan plenty to feel inspired by. It’s certainly a track that adds more to Josaleigh’s slowly growing legacy.
