Alice Cooper and Bad Brains confirmed for Bonnaroo 2012

Legendary theatrical rock star Alice Cooper and cult reggae/hardcore punk band Bad Brains have been confirmed to appear at the 2012 Bonnaroo Festival.

The festival, held in Tennessee, will boast over 125 bands and 20 comedians appearing across thirteen stages.

So far, other confirmed acts include the recently reformed Ben Folds Five, City and Colour, Das Racist, Two Door Cinema Club, Flogging Molly, Spectrum Road (feat. Jack Bruce, Vernon Reid and John Medeski), Phish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead and more.

Bonnaroo 2012 takes place between June 7th-10th, with tickets available exclusively from Bonnaroo.com from this Saturday.

Australian metal band Elysian announce details of full length debut

Australian melodic death metal band Elysian will release their debut album ‘Wires of Confusion’ in March.

The band will support Arch Enemy in Melbourne on April 31st, and a selection of the band’s own dates are planned to promote the are release of the album, though details have not yet been finalised.

City and Colour to play a run of Australian dates

In addition to an appearance at the Groovin’ The Moo Festival, it has been confirmed that Dallas Green (aka singer/songwriter City & Colour) will play a selection of live dates in major Australian cities in April and May.

Those not attending the travelling festival at any of its locations will now be given an opportunity to see Green in a more intimate setting at the following venues:

Brendan Benson to play UK/Ireland shows

To promote his fifth solo album ‘What Kind of World’, Brendan Benson will visit the UK and Ireland for a run of live shows in the spring.

Benson has confirmed the following dates in May:

‘What Kind of World’ is released on April 30th.

Jack White schedules first solo performances

Ex-White Stripes man Jack White is to play his first ever live shows as a solo artist in March.

White’s much anticipated debut solo album ‘Blunderbuss’ will be released on April 23rd. Ahead of its release, fans in the US will get an extra treat as White has confirmed live dates at the following venues in March:
