david myhr epIn 2012 singer-songwriter David Myhr (one time of The Merrymakers) released his solo debut ‘Soundshine’. That album was one of the best power pop releases of the decade – possibly even ever – with Myhr celebrating pop’s past, his love of McCartney and myriad 70s pop bands cutting through the core of each track. This follow up EP (issued in early 2014) rounds up a few extra tunes, each one delivered with a broad smile designed for that maximum feel-good factor.

Marshall Crenshaw returning to the UK in November

US singer-songwriter and cult power pop performer Marshall Crenshaw will be performing at the Jazz Cafe in Camden, London on 20th November 2014. The gig marks his first performance in the UK for almost two decades.

The intimate live show ties in with the release of new material, beginning with an EP via Lojinx Records.

‘Animal Heart’, a new video from Nina Persson

Nina Persson, best known for being frontwoman with Swedish alt-pop sensations The Cardigans will release ‘Animal Heart’ – her first solo record – early in 2014.

Although The Cardigans have not released any new music since 2005, Persson has been involved with other projects, including A Camp, The Citizens Band and a guest appearance on Manic Street Preachers’ single ‘Your Love Alone Is Not Enough’, as well as starting a family.
