Noah and The Whale – March/April 2012 tour dates

In support of their third album, ‘Last Night On Earth’, Noah and The Whale have announced a run of live dates for March/April 2012, including two rescheduled dates from 2011.

‘Last Night On Earth’ peaked on the UK albums chart at #8. It also made waves in the US, reaching #35 on the Billboard Rock chart and #20 on the Billboard Alternative chart.

Paul Simon to tour ‘Graceland’ in 2012?

Reports suggest that the legendary Paul Simon will take to the road in 2012 with Ladysmith Black Mambazo and play songs from his semial ‘Graceland’ LP. The worldwide smash was released in August 1986 and next year marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Simon taking the songs to the road for the first time.

It is also said that a lavish ‘Graceland’ box set is in the works. Tentatively to be released in the first half of the year, no details about the contents of the set are known at present. Expect more details as they surface…

New Nightwish album details revealed

Details have surfaced regarding the special editions of the forthcoming Nightwish release.

‘Imaginaerium’, the Finnish band’s seventh studi album will be released in the following formats:

2CD digipak featuring instrumental version of the album as bonus CD.

Mailorder boxset including digipak “CD, the one-track-single ‘Rest Calm’ (demo version featuring Marco Hietala on vocals) and exclusive ‘Imaginaerum’ mirror. (Limited to 1000 copies)

Marbled 180g double gatefold LP, including a DIN A2 poster (limited to 250 copies worldwide).

She & Him: Christmas album to be released this year

Having already released two albums of top-notch material, She & Him – the acoustic singer-songwriter duo featuring alt-folk musician M Ward and actress Zooey Deschanel – will be releasing a festively themed album at the end of October.

‘A Very She & Him Christmas’ features the duo putting their mark on various yuletide classics. Those who pre-order from the official website will receive She & Him wrapping paper.

Paramore to release three new tracks over the next three months

Having finished their summer tour, Paramore have announced the release of new material.

Their first new track ‘Renegades’ is available now.  Over the next three months, the band will be releasing two more new songs.  ‘Hello Cruel World’ will follow on November 7th and ‘In The Mourning’ on December 5th.

The three songs mark the beginning of the Paramore Singles Club and will only be available from the band’s official website and not available from iTunes.

The band have said the Singles Club will feature more downloads in future.  While there are plans to begin work on a new album in 2012, it is not yet known whether any of these new songs will feature on the forthcoming full-length LP or available elsewhere on CD at a later date.
