The stoner/psychedelic band Kesem have only recently released their album ‘Post-Tera’, but they’re not resting on their laurels. At a time when any live promotional work is still a little hit and miss due to Covid-19 restrictions, they’re promoting the album with a new video clip.

The current video single is for ‘The Tyrant’, a trippy, hazy workout that showcases their sound very succinctly. A modern stoner sound collides with a very retro psychedelic feel, as if Hawkwind (circa 1973) have collaborated with Monster Magnet. The presence of a vocal in a slightly higher register than the typical stoner boom also adds another twist, and the minimalist visuals also lend something of a floaty, other worldly feel.
