In April 2020, adult pop heroes The 1957 Tail-Fin Fiasco made an unexpected return with their video single ‘Dream Pharma’.  It had been almost eighteen months since the world heard from them, and the band themselves weren’t entirely sure they were going to make new music, but here they were.

‘Dream Pharma’ is the kind of quirky track that reawakens their love of Steely Dan and other 70s westcoast sounds.  A couple of listens is enough to make you realise why they’ve built a small, yet vocal, cult following.

But could ‘Dream Pharma’ work acoustically?  When Real Gone first approached David and Malcolm, nothing was definite but they were keen to give it a go.   Stripped down and with no frills, here are the Tail-Fins in a socially distanced home session exclusively for Real Gone!
