SILVER ARM released their first vinyl EP in February of 2014 and soon found praise from STEVE LAMACQ (BBC 6MUSIC), THE NEEDLE DROP and others, with a worldwide premiere of the video for ‘He Of The Slow Creep’ on VICE NOISEY.
SCATTERBRAINZZ is Silver Arm’s first new material since February and sees the band continuing to develop the edgy, grungy post-punk sound and style honed over their previous records, captured on tape by long term collaborator RORY ATTWELL.
Characterized by Gaz’s imposing vocals and Leon’s stabbing guitar riffs, the frenetic drumming and deep resonant bass capture a live feel perfectly crafted into two and three quarter minutes of infectious fury that assaults your eardrums and leaves them wanting more. SCATTERBRAINZZ is Silver Arm at their finest.
Over the summer Silver Arm haven’t gone unnoticed. BBC INTRODUCING invited the band to play at T IN THE PARK, with the announcement made live on RADIO ONE. They’ve supported the acclaimed EAGULLS and played a series of dates with the hotly tipped OH BOY!

Irish quintet ELASTIC SLEEP’s ‘SLIP’ is the follow up single to the incredibly well received Leave You EP, released by Big Tea Records and FIFA Records in May of 2014. ‘Slip’ finds the band moving away from the lush dreampop of their debut, to embrace heavier elements of grunge with droning guitars. ‘Slip’ develops on their well- honed, noise-tinged shoegaze and moves it on, with Muireann Levis’ celestial vocals providing a silky antidote to the chaotic noise beneath.
Elastic Sleep have had a busy year. Following the release of Leave You they have been featured in the NME, graced the airwaves on BBC 6 MUSIC and played live sessions on Irish national stations 2FM and Today FM. With support and accolades from the IRISH TIMES, FILTER MAGAZINE (exclusive video premiere), GOD IS IN THE TV (Track of the Day) and performances at this year’s HARD WORKING CLASS HEROES and INDIEPENDENCE FESITVALs (alongside White Lies and Public Enemy), 2015 is building towards being even busier. And they’re attracting wider recognition throughout the industry too, with MY BLOODY VALENTINE drummer Colm O’Ciosoig stopping by to check out a recent headline show in Dublin.
