Two special Ozzy releases planned for Record Store Day

Now in its fifth year, Record Store Day is becoming a tradition among record collectors. Every year, various bands release very limited edition items – available from selected stores and only for one day – to encourage people to move away from the internet and shop at independent retailers.

The 2012 Record Store Day is to be held on Saturday, April 21st. As part of the celebrations, Ozzy Osbourne fans can expect two special vinyl only releases.

The first, ‘Live’ is a 2LP set capturing The Ozzman on his ‘Diary of a Madman’ tour of 1981 with guitarist Randy Rhoads. In conjunction with the 2LP set, a live recording of ‘Believer’ will be issued on polkadot 7″ vinyl.

4,400 copies of the 7″ have been pressed, but it has not been said how many of the 2LP set will be available.

Please note: while many stores choose to participate, not all indie retailers are part of Record Store Day, nor are all releases are available in all participating stores.
